Join the Etobicoke Philharmonic on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Martingrove Collegiate Institute - 50 Winterton Drive, Etobicoke (map) - for Inspirations of a New World.

New experiences are often a source of inspiration, as Dvorak demonstrated by composing his 9th Symphony while visiting the New World. We take his cue in the rest of this program with pieces new to us (and to you?): Ballade for Orchestra by Anglo-African composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Canadian Larysa Kuzmenko’s “A prayer for String Orchestra” and our latest Young Composers Competition winner, Quattrociocchi’s “Grazie Altrettanto.”
