As a freelance musician, Cris has played over the years with a number of orchestras in Vancouver and in the GTA. As well as serving for the past decade as principal oboe for Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra, Cris is also principal oboist for Orchestra Toronto, and also frequently performs with Oakville Chamber Orchestra, where she appeared as a soloist in their recent 25th anniversary performances of the complete Brandenburg Concertos. As an active chamber musician, Cris is in demand with various other orchestral and chamber ensembles in and around the Greater Toronto Area and performs regularly with Alchemy Chamber Ensemble. Previous solo appearances with Etobicoke Philharmonic Orchestra have included the Bach Double Concerto with Andrea Currie-Jefferson, and Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante during EPO's 2001-2002 season, and on EPO's 2002 Paris tour.
