Canadian/British baritone and Canada Council winner Jeffrey Carl studied with Betty Doroschuk, Louis Quilico, Diane Forlano, at the Chigana di Musica in Siena, and now works regularly with Ermanno Mauro. He started his musical career as an accomplished clarinet soloist and orchestral player at the age of 15.

His recording include La Bohème with Roberto Alagna and Leontina Vaduva/Pappano EMI, Richard Bonynge's recordings of Lehar's Giuditta (2 roles) with Jerry Hadley and Deborah Riedel, and the Czarevich with Nancy Gustafson for TELARC, a Kurt Weill role in The Firebrand of Florence, and most recently, Lusignano in Donizetti's Caterina Cornaro with Julia Migenes, cond.
